How to take a temperature recording with the Welch Allyn CareTemp touch free thermometer?

• Turn the device on by pushing the “Measure” button.
• Position the device 4-6cms away from the patient’s forehead (NB – aim between the eyebrows).
• Press and release the “Measure” button again to begin reading.
• Slowly move the device toward or away from the forehead.
• The arrow on the display flashes until the correct distance is achieved.
• Once the correct distance is reached, the LED bar will illuminate, three beeps sound and the measurement will be displayed.
